Sex, Death, and Other Unmentionables

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Sex and death—the great unmentionables— are topics we tend to avoid. Whether this is because of social taboos, a fear of being vulnerable or simply a lack of adequate vocabulary, going deep is difficult. The writers in this program have wrestled deeply with “unmentionable" ideas. They’ve searched history, conducted interviews, and written poems, trying to tease out their complexities. Tonight they're gathering to discuss their work and how they've been changed by bringing these stories and experiences into the light to be scrutinized and demystified—or perhaps made even more mysterious.
