Audience members will read poems with musical backing by Mule on Fire, a three-piece acoustic/electric band. For each poem, an audience member will spin a large, game-show Wheel to choose their musical style (ska, hair metal, acoustic blues, sensitive folk, sanctimonious Irish arena rock, etc.). Mule on Fire will accompany in the style determined by The Wheel, and the audience member, tapping into the music’s essence, will perform the poem accordingly. A selection of poems will be provided. The event will open and close with an original song performed by Mule on Fire.
