Grief Rites: Community and Connection

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The Grief Rites Readers Series is a storytelling showcase that provides the opportunity for community to gather and speak openly about death, loss and grief.

We create safe spaces to connect through shared grief, while holding space for ourselves and others. Storytellers come to share their story, while others come to honor their own grief and the grief of others. They come to hold space and witness. They come to sink into that soft spot of grief and give themselves and others the permission to grieve. To do the hard thing. They come to receive and provide support and connection with other people who "get it".
The readers series is a project of the Grief Rites Foundation, a community movement to take back our right to grieve. We provide education, awareness and advocacy to normalize grief, to end the stigma and shame, and to give ourselves permission to greive out loud.

Storytellers (in order of appearance):
Amber J Keyser

That's when Kate realized, you can't make this stuff up and decided to write nonfiction. Her book, "Objects In Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear" won the 2016 Oregon... Read More →
